Christina Pepper

I met Christina Pepper (Austin) at this year’s Scott Joplin Festival in Sedalia, Missouri, and was deeply impressed by both her playing and her symposium lecture Ragtime in the Age of Social Media. She is a prolific YouTube content creator; especially recommended for your viewing are her sensitive video performances of Scott Joplin’s Eugenia, Lee Grabbe’s Calico Rag, and Pjotr Kolster and Máté Pribelszky’s new, haunting Ghost Pepper Rag.

Christina’s excellent album Dawn of the Century: Early Twentieth Century Marches and Two-Steps is available for purchase as a CD or .mp3 download on her website ko-fi.com/christinapepper.
