Awarding times for Cynthia Sayer

Cynthia Sayer will be in New York City on Fri, March 8 (which also happens to be International Women’s Day), giving a show called “Hot Banjo” at City Vineyards, located at Pier 26 (233 West St) in Manhattan, for their “Voices On The Hudson” series. Her show will feature Grammy-nominated jazz violinist Sara Caswell and string bassist/vocalist Mike Weatherly. This is a special show in a beautiful, intimate venue on the water, with terrific food – i.e. if you pick just one jazz banjo gig, this is the one!

On March 11th she’s set to receive a 2019 Bistro Award in the “Singer – Instrumentalist – Bandleader” category. The ceremony will be held at the Gotham Comedy Club, 208 W. 23rd St. (bet. 7th & 8th Ave), NYC.

Great Jazz!

Its been an awarding few months for Sayer, she was a Silver Medal Winner three times over at the Global Music Awards in December. That came on the heels of her second tour to China in November. Accompanied by her Joyride Band she played in six cities doing community outreach sponsored by Ping Pong Productions a company with a mission of connecting people through the arts, in this case jazz!
