Stan Reynolds, 92

Stan Reynolds, 92, April 16 in Britain. He started playing trumpet with his father's band at 12 and touring at age 14. After the war he joined The Tommy Sampson Orchestra before being recruited to Ted Heath’s band. He played with Heath for three years before going to Spain to play with Rick Lewis. He later returned to the Heath band for another several years. He was then part of Geraldo, a prominent radio big band. He went on to run his own band which opened for touring American acts including six tours with Tony Bennet and freelance work including the Judy Garland Show. He maintained a rehearsal group with whom he continued to play until just two weeks prior to his death.
