Cynthia Sayer will be in New York City on Fri, March 8 (which also happens to be International Women’s Day), giving a show called “Hot Banjo” at City Vineyards, located at Pier 26 (233 West St) in Manhattan, for their “Voices On The Hudson” series. Her show will feature Grammy-nominated jazz violinist Sara Caswell and string bassist/vocalist Mike Weatherly. This is a special show in a beautiful, intimate venue on the water, with terrific food – i.e. if you pick just one jazz banjo gig, this is the one! Here’s a link with further info.
On March 11th she’s set to receive a 2019 Bistro Award in the “Singer – Instrumentalist – Bandleader” category. The ceremony will be held at the Gotham Comedy Club, 208 W. 23rd St. (bet. 7th & 8th Ave), NYC. Ticket Info
