Ben Selvin‘s Novelty Orchestra had a massive hit in 1919 with their version of Dardanella. It is reported to have sold around a million copies. This page contains recordings that were released over the following decades under a number of different band names. It is a work in progress . The Real Audio Player .ra files below will play in most programs but not in Windows Media Player. Over time we are replacing them with links to MP3 files  and  adding  hundreds  of  recordings  not  included  in  the  original  Red  Hot  Jazz  Archive. Ben Selvin and his Novelty Orchestra 1920
